And while we cater to the emerging stars of this new frontier and businesses looking for a marketing advantage, we understand that the various paths of entertainment delivery are merging. As new gadgets arrive with greater capabilities and functionality, the means of consumption are changing with ever increasing regularity. From the MP3 player to the video iPod to the Kindle and iPad, the savvy creator and marketer must adapt accordingly. That's where we come in...
Todd was born in Chicago and raised in Northern Virginia. After earning his bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, he taught sailing for Club Med before returning to earn an MBA from Duke University, with an emphasis on marketing. He then embarked on a new life in Los Angeles.
He began his career in entertainment with United Talent Agency in the mailroom. He became the assistant to partner Gary Cosay, but was lured away to earn his agent stripes at the Kaplan-Stahler Agency. Two years later, he was hired to head the television department at Writers & Artists Agency, where he spent the next five years.
In his time as an agent, he worked with writers such as Oscar-winner Alan Ball ("American Beauty" and "True Blood"), Oscar-nominees Stuart Blumberg ("The Kids Are Alright") and Rob Festinger ("In The Bedroom"), as well as Pat Page & Vik Rubenfeld ("Early Edition"), Jill Condon & Amy Toomin ("Friends") and Jeff Lowell ("Over Her Dead Body" and "Sports Night").
In 2000, Todd co-founded StoryXchange.com, a web-based marketplace for content. Sadly, in the turmoil of the dot-com bubble bursting, the company was shuttered in 2003. Initially, Todd launched e-merge Management, which soon morphed into this, e-merge Media.
And the beat goes on...

Here is a sample of coverage I wrote while working at United Talent Agency. It is for a fictionalized account of the death of big band great, Glenn Miller.
